Is your conservatory too hot?

At Solar Control are proud to be able to offer the perfect alternative to traditional conservatory blinds in the form of our high quality conservatory film which reflects nearly all the damaging ultra violet rays from the sun and also stops your conservatory becoming to hot on days when the temperature of the sun can become almost unbearable.

Once this conservatory film has been fitted it will provide almost complete protection from the sun's harmful rays which are the main cause of the fading of colours on furniture and carpets. These are the same rays that damage the skin in prolonged spells of exposure.

Another advantage of conservatory film that it offers an extra layer of protection which makes the glass in your conservatory windows and roofing extraordinarily difficult to shatter.

Are you unable to use your conservatory because of excessive temperatures?

With window film applied to your conservatory, you can reduce temperatures, reduce glare and help reduce fading.

During the Summer internal conservatory temperatures can reach over 120 Degrees F and in the winter fall to near freezing, thus creating an uncomfortable room for plants and people. The glare from the sun will make reading and viewing computer screens difficult causing eyestrain, The sun’s UV rays will increase fading on furnishings and fabrics.

Why traditional blinds don’t work

Whilst traditional blinds provide protection against glare and UV, they do not combat Summer heat build up.

The sun’s solar energy passes through the roof and is trapped between the blind and the roof, creating a layer of hot air which increases the room temperature.

Blinds will reduce the natural light entering the conservatory , making the room behind darker, obscure your  view out of your windows, trap dust and dead insects, making cleaning a regular chore.

Continuous exposure to the sun’s energy will deteriorate the fabric and plastic fittings, drying out and becoming brittle. Cords stiffening on opening and closing.
